Director of Marketing

Lead digital strategy while managing a team of marketers, copy writers, and media buyers.

As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading the digital media and creative strategy for customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will manage a team of marketers, copywriters, and media buyers, as well as external agencies, in delivering and exceeding company objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker that also understands the end-to-end digital marketing flow from lead generation, engagement, conversion to retention. You understand that revenue is the goal and optimize for leads that convert.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative marketing strategies to acquire new customers while engaging existing ones across digital channels (paid search, SEO, social media, display ads, retargeting, email marketing, affiliates & influencers, etc.)

  • Direct outside agencies (media & creative) to develop and implement effective campaigns, creative, and promotions

  • Work closely with sales team to ensure consistent messaging, optimized funnel conversions, and alignment between sales & marketing departments

  • Define and manage the digital marketing budget, including setting targets for key financial metrics such as CAC and LTV

  • Execute all implementation/integration activities with company’s marketing technology platforms

  • Prepare and present ROI and other relevant reports for executive team; serve as a continuous feedback loop for company leaders across divisions

  • Manage and continually develop a talented team of digital marketers

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in developing paid digital media strategies and leading the execution of campaigns across channels

  • Minimum 7 years of marketing project management experience, partnering with digital media and creative ad agencies

  • Natural storyteller with ability to craft compelling narratives and present them both verbally and visually

  • Strong knowledge of campaign management, optimization, 3rd party ad serving and trafficking, analytics, audience segmentation, tag management

  • Experience scoping and scaling both large and small digital projects

  • Detailed understanding of the marketing technology landscape, including the most popular tools and their capabilities

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and continually optimize strategy based on data-drive decisions

  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across teams (technical and non-technical)

  • Agile and resourceful with the ability to pivot in an ever-changing environment

  • Proven track record of delivering results on time and within budget

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience required

Compensation:

  • Compensation: $140-160K, based on experience and skill set, plus 10% bonus

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

  • 100% remote work but we offer co-working space in select metro areas

  • EST – PST time zones preferred
