
Sales Director
Motivate, develop, and grow the sales team while keeping them accountable to meeting quota.
As Sales Director, you will lead the sales team in driving revenue, in alignment with organizational goals. You must motivate, develop, and grow the sales team, while simultaneously keeping them accountable to meeting and exceeding their quota.
You will be the liaison between the executive team and sales department. As a leader within the organization, you must perform at a high level, inspire others to do the same, and provide revenue-related solutions that instill confidence in your team and the broader organization.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute the sales strategy with the guidance of the executive team, including developing product pricing, promotions, refund policy, and so on
Run weekly meetings and delegate tasks to appropriate team members or departments
When necessary, help the team close deals, address objections/complaints, put out fires, and the like
Continually develop the existing sales team via structured training, coaching, and relevant feedback
Grow team headcount by recruiting A players; lead the interview process, coordinating with appropriate team members and departments, as necessary
Craft competitive compensation plans, quotas, and sales incentives to drive growth
Track deal progress and pipeline, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and organized in the CRM system
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for individual members and the team as a whole, taking proactive measures when metrics trend in the wrong direction
Compile forecasts and other relevant reports to keep the executive team informed of revenue growth
Maintain a continual feedback loop with marketing leaders, ensuring adequate lead flow, strong return on marketing spend, and maximized team utilization
Bridge the gap between the sales and customer service teams, ensuring a seamless hand off between departments once deals have closed
Qualifications:
10+ year of successful selling experience; at least 5 years of management experience
Strong leadership skills with a history of success managing high performing teams
Proven expertise in developing accurate forecasts and growth strategies
Mastery over one or more sales methodologies and negotiation techniques
Ability to multitask and organize priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Organized, detail oriented, and comfortable with large data sets
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Compensation:
Compensation: $130-150K, based on experience and skill set
On-Target-Earnings: up to $300K your first year
Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
100% remote work but we offer co-working space in select metro areas
EST – PST time zones preferred
